One of the latest tournaments of the 2018 World Series of Poker to finish up is Event #44, the $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship. The tournament saw 109 players competing with a prize pool generated of $1,024,600. In the end, it was Nicholas Seiken who earned the first-place win, after defeating Randy Ohel in heads-up play in the poker event.

According to the WSOP, Seiken was able to eliminate Kristijonas Andrulis in 3rd place before taking on Ohel in the final round. With the elimination, Seiken created a 3 to 2 lead before the two went head to head. It took only 45 minutes for Seiken to claim the win, by that time, having a 10 to 1 chip lead.

On the final hand, Seiken raised with Ohel posting a three-bet. He called and took three cards while Ohel discarded two. Both players would then check and discard two cards. Ohel decided to wager with Seiken raising and then moved all-in, followed by Seiken calling quickly.

Seiken showed 7x-6x-5x-4x-2x with Ohel showing Jx-9x-8x-7x-3x, resulting in the loss of the hand and settling for the second-place finish. Seiken is normally a hold’em player, so the win in mixed games was extra sweet!

Final Results of Event #44:

First Nicholas Seiken $287,987
Second Randy Ohel $177,992
Third Kristijonas Andrulis $125,190
Fourth Farzad Bonyadi $89,078
